Hi all,I'm having problem regarding my OPT and H1-B, and hope u can suggest me. My bad-luck, I happen to receive "incomplete document" letter from USCIS for my OPT application. I have submitted those document but I am afraid like it was mention that it will take 14 to 60 days to issue OPT card. With best luck, it could come before April, otherwise its goanna come after April 1st, meaning late for applying H1-B. Can I apply for H1-B with my trans-cripts and the receipt letter of my application for OPT from USCIS?Also, I don't have SSN which I can get only once I have OPT card in my hand. Is SSN also required to apply for H1-B? dangol.

As far as my knowledge is concerned SSN is not required for filing H1B if you don't already have it. Since people who come from India/Nepal with H1B visa directly don't have their SSN either.
Regarding OPT, I think you will be ok if you submit the receipt notice and the I-20 that shows you applied for OPT.
But the best thing is to consult with an attorney. Every company has their own attroney. So they might tell you best.
What I know is you can file H1B if you meet any degree (undergradaute or Masters) requirements while still being a full time student(F1). But the thing is that you can start working only from Oct1st once the H1B becomes effective.
