Hi friends
If you folks have experience sending Laptop to Nepal,Please share.I am thinking to send one to my relative back home but not sure how much custom will be charged.If you have first hand experience,your input will help me taking decision whether to send from here or buy in Nepal itself.

Do not sending via postal or any other means. It may disappear on the way or may have to pay heafty custom tax which makes chear to buy locally.

Synjali I totally agree with you. Infact I am too waiting to send it to someone, but I wouldn't even buy it unless I have someone from Nepal who is willing to take it for me.
May be you will have to wait but still I guess, Its good to buy laptop here in the U.S than in Nepal.

One laptop per person (for non-commercial use) is custom free. Make sure to carry your bills with you and the people carrying it should say this is for own personal use.
