 Laptop takes long time to boot

Dear Sajha Friends My laptop takes a long time to boot. Initially it was good. I did check online and disable all on msconfig startup, as told by some...and it worked very fast. but the problem was even the sound system in laptop got disable. So i had to enable them all. Can you please suggest the things i can disable and the things i cannot. Laptop Specification Compaq 6910p Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo T8300 @ 2.4 GHz Memory 2 GB 32 Bit operating system Windows Vista Business Omega Thanx.
