Hi All, I am getting training in Unix Admin mainly in Solaris operating system. Is there any one who is working as Unix Admin(working as Solaris Admin), and can provide sample resume for 3-4 years of work experiences. I google it but i could not find one. All i got was sample resume with 6-20 years of working experiences. I want to apply as entry level system admin (2-3 years of experiences). I am little confuse what to add(include) in responsibilities for 2-3 years of experience resume. i have sample resume for 5-8 years of experiences. what concept are suitable for 3 years resume? like: veritas volume manager, veritas cluster, veritas net back up, solaris containers technology, zetta file systems and so on.....
also is it good idea to show have worked in different flavor of unix like, Aix, hp, and in linux within that 3 years.
If you are going with 2-3 yrs experience then i guess being fluent is Solaris OS is good enough and few here and there commands for veritas volume manager. And yes ..shell scripting is must if you get hired in Engineering side..also veritas cluster/container/ZFS ..these are advanced level courses and need rigorous training/experience to troubleshoot these...I have full time admin in my workplace who doesnt know Veritas cluster even with genuine exp of 7 yrs..so its something like you learn it over the period of years...you cant be guru in 2-3 yrs...you just have to have mentality of learning every day...GOODLUCK!!!
Got my F1 reinstatement approved within 3 months(was out of F1 for almost 2 years)
Has anyone here successfully reinstated to F-1 status after a year-long gap following a drop from F-1?
