Probably he would have gotten away using his political links and power, that's why Police might have taken this extreme step of killing him at once instead of arresting and presenting him in the court. And it makes sense too. But while thinking logically, I think this is a bad practice that has started in Nepal. This is also a form of lawlessness/anarchy from the part of the govt. Police should not be the "judge". It's not his job. This is not how a rule of law works like. If this practice continues, I fear this might make Police too powerful and a wrong person in the force can lead to very dangerous situation in the country. If this is, indeed, a wrong doing in the part of Police, it should not be supported by the sensible citizen. Everyone including Police should follow proper legal path. Otherwise, this might backfire sometime.
