I dont think its about choices people make after all who will make such choice. Its all about ignorance, poverty and lack of law.

Thanks a lot for videos. This shows who really we are. Nepal is not only New Road, Balaju, Thamel, Chabahil. And our image outside Nepal is exactly like shown on videos... A long long way to go for we Nepalese.

We all have to do something for our country and Im sure I will do justice from my part.

sanuman 1st post on this thread looks like he is generalising all women: $250 rather than real story of the documentary. His 2nd post again generalised all sajha viewers as pathetic .

The subtitles and the explanation of the scenario by "Sushmas' mother" is contradictory. The subtitle is giving false impression that her mother send her to brothel, which is not the fact.

The facts are wrong..... They said about 100,000 people go abroad for jobs... 1/3 of them are women and girls and half of them are trafficked... that means about 16,000 women are being trafficked every year....  It is way too much than the reality...I read another report recently...... which said around 800 women are trafficked every year....

The documentray have shown the reason behind trafficking but didnot focused it much.... things like poverty, 1700 km long open boarder with India and demand of Nepali women in Indian brothels......

The solution of trafficking is not catching the traffickers but closing down the brothes in India and having tighter boarder security..... their lies the root cause...... plus  poverty allevition,,, which may be the toughest one to do....

gyanguru, dont deny the fact. The core point is - innocent nepali ladies are being sold in indian brothels for as little as $250. Thats it.

this is something that they did not chose to do. they were forced into it.  Illiteracy and unmenployment and our goverment carelesness has caused these problems. But in australia these educated girls made their choice in this profession. Look at this woman how she is surviving  and  she still went  back and still trying to stand on her feet. She has some pride. Learn something people, who wants fast money and who are educated as well.
