Hello all, My mother (75) is going to KTM from JFK on Etihad tomorrow at 2pm. She has wheel chair arranged, but I am a little nervous about her during her transit. My mother speaks and understands Nepali only. If you are traveling or know someone who is could you please let me know. It would be of tremendous help if somebody who speaks Nepali might be able to give her a company during her transit. Thank you very much.

With due respect, During the 14-15 hours of flight, you DON'T company 75 years old lady, you literally 'BABY SIT' for her.

How about going to bathroom, thirsty, motion sickness in plane, and transit.

Wheelchair will take care right? lol,

I DID ONCE, and I AM TELLING OTHERS, IT IS A HUGE RESPONSIBILITY WHEN SOMEONE IS OVER 70+

Good luck, and hope she finds someone.

Rajan,
How can you expect such help from others if own son can't help her just for traveling? All the best on your search.

You didn't quite get it Shankar. I have arrangements all the way for pick up at TIA. I myself am dropping at the airport. The airlines has arrangements for taking her to the specific terminal and the specific doors of the connecting flight in wheel chairs. She is not a disable person to move around for using the restrooms. It's just she might have an easy time waiting if she could chit chat with fellow Nepali folks. Dude you probably would understand better once your parents are visiting you.

Sexy In Sari, Good to know your part of the story. Thanks for your concern tho. As a matter of fact I've done that too. For me it was a not much of any effort but more of a fun talking with them.
