I am moving to michigan before july 7. I dont have anybody over there.Can you please give me some idea about michigan. I was hired as an software programmer over there.

its cold place, specially its a area for TCN ( Third country nationals ) you can call it refugee area, but one good thing is tax is low here! You cant comapre with any other city.

It depends where you live in Michigan. But it's a really great place to live. Be prepared for winter where snow falls every three days a week in winter. Other than that, it's ok. You'll find lot of dhotis too.
