 Hi,

I suggest you go to Indian Consulate General of India's website first and determine where you have to get your Police Clearance from. If you are in NY, NJ, Boston area; you apply to the Consulate General of India in NY and so forth. Next, you need to get a police clearance letter from Nepal. It doesn't matter even if you are in US for years, the date stamp on the letter has to be current. Also have a original marksheets from India, transcripts and whatever official documents you have to satisfy the clerk's at the consulate that you indeed studied in India. Don't forget to make copies of all the documents because you have to submit them at the counter.

Please refer to this website: www.indiacgny.org

From my experience, the worst consulate is NY. I had to go back and forth for almost month and a half and finally they issued me a police clearance. If you need further help, let me know and Best of Luck.

Go to Indian embassy consulate section and they will make you one. If the Indian ambassador says anything then slip a NRS 100 bill and say; chartable donation for Indian earthquake relief fund. He will realize that his children were buried under the rubble, and he needs some money to buy them sweets to get them back. The ambassador will take the money and get you the paper work and “walla”, you are on your way to Canada.
