Hello everybody: My mother was here in the US in 2004 on a 5-yr visa. We extended her stay for the first time and got it approved. However, due to certain reasons, she had to stay 15 more days (after the date on the extension notice approval) and we filed for her extension of stay for the second time. She left the country after sending the application and we later received an approval notice. Now that she wants to come back to the US for my graduation, (which is a week from now), it is difficult to figure out what she needs to bring with her. She still has her visa valid, but the problem is with the extension approval notices. I found the first approval notice but CANNOT find the second one (although I am 100% sure, it was approved and it came to me). Will it be difficult for her at the port of entry without this second approval notice? Will she be deported considering she does not have enough documents (which might make them feel she stayed illegally?). Any useful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you have the USCIS number e.g WAC, you can log into the uscis.gov website and check the status of your case, since you have mentioned that the case has been approved, you will find the approval notice there, you can even print it. However , i doubt another thing about this, that is, since your mom left the country after she applied, the WAC may not be valid. Although, since has a visa, she should not have any problem entering as INS allows 60 days grace to any overstay situation. all she would need is a plane ticket, if she has a valid visa.
