Hello Friends, I am graduating non-STEM PhD and STEM masters at the same time (concurrent degree finishing same time). Now I am applying for OPT but I am confused whether to use MS or PhD degree for application. I have set up a meeting with my international student advisor for next week but I also wanted see if anyone here had been in same situation and what they did. Also, I am highly likely to take a post-doc position that requires skill sets from my both degrees. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

@SIRAK -- sorry, I don't know the answer to your question, but I am interested in knowing how one can get a STEM masters and non-STEM PhD concurrently. Would you mind sharing what degrees (Masters in XXX; PhD in YYY) you have? Please PM me if you don't feel like posting here. Thanks.

May be its not the answer to your question, but aroused curiosity on my small brain. If you didn't apply for OPT before, my two cents suggestion is to have OPT from STEM degree to be on safe side.
