Hello,
I have a question and I am sorry if it has already been answered here.
I am on F1 status with valid visa and on TPS. I have a question about travel.
I am thinking of travel to Nepal but I do not want to terminate my F1 status as I am applying for OPT.

If I go and come back using F1 I20 without applying for Advance parole, do I abandon TPS as it states we need to get advance parole before travelling.

And, if I apply for advance parole and travel on TPS, would my student status be terminated?

Thanks

anytime you travel while you are on TPS you must receive AP. If you travel on your own visa , you will not be able to renew the TPS since they will ask for I94 for re-registration and they will know you travelled without getting AP.

How about you apply for TPS reregistration and then go to Nepal? By the time you come back using F1 visa, you will have a renewed TPS. Hence you will have both F1 and TPS. I am in the same boat and speculating as to what should I do.

@Bibek Shrestha...Hello Bibek bro, just wanted to quickly follow up with your about your travel experience. Did you happen to travel to Nepal (on valid F-1 & TPS status) without AP and able to return to the States? Any issues when you travelled? Please let me know. Thanks.

If you have a TPS and wish to travel you MUST use an AP regardless of any other statuses you have. If you dont you will not be able to renew your TPS again.
