for those who've been through it all, i need some help.. I received an email from a grad school that invited me for a Recruitment Weekend and interview at their expense. If the letter just said interview I would understand that they wud only accept/reject me after the interview but it says recruitment weekend, what does it mean? Does it mean that I am going there just for a visit and that I've already been accepted or does it mean they just want me to visit without any indication of acceptance or rejection. I can call them up and ask them but I dont' wanna sound dumb.
please help somebody....

Means---> high chance of acceptance (since they are already paying for you). Interview should not be that tough. But go prepared. Eg, know something abt dept/program, have some good questions for them, be prepared to talk abt your undergrad research/class etc. Good luck!

Don't be nervous. You are a qualified candidat for that position that is why you got chance for an interview. Interview is not only to question candidates. It's also time for you to find out more about school, it's program, and also about faculties. You could ask them about scholorships and teaching assistant positions too. If you prepare yourself to ask them question, then you won't be nervous. There will be two way communication which will make you feel comfortable. So you should take an interview like a very casual talk with some new people. You should look confident. So relax and enjoy your free trip. Good luck.
