hey people,
i need some help!
i am trying to send a file from my local computer to the unix server using FTP.
i tried to do it but could not succeed.
do i need a ftp software installed on my computer?
can someone please show me a step-by-step process?

any help is greatly appreciated.

download filezilla from http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ and it should be easy enough for you to transfer files.

Hi
If you are trying to access unix server remotely from windows platform, download WINSCP, then drag n drop from windows platform to unix server.
