One of my relatives is in Nepal and he is coming to US for his graduate studies. His school strats from January 14, 2009. His parents were here in US. His dad passed away here in US couple of days ago. We are trying our best to bring him here for his Dad's funeral and all the rituals. To be able to do this, he has to be in US before the 12th of December, which is more than 30 days earlier than his school start date. We contated to the US counsoler's office in Nepal and they suggest not to travel before the 30 day-period. We contacted the Port of Entry here in US and they informed us that he can fly now. Is there anybody here in Sajha who has entered US before the 30 day period?

I don't know if this helps but I personally know somebody who flew here 2 months before the school starts. This was right after sept 11 attack.
