I was just wondering if we require HK transit visa while going to Nepal ? I thought that was not required if we were traveling on Cathay and or Dragon Air. Please enlighten me if you have some information. Thanks!

Not required when going on Cathy and dragon.I went through same route 4 months back and I didn't need any visa.

would be nice if i could visit hongkong during my transit time.

Ma ne nepal jane kura sochdai chhu january,cathay airline ma.   visa expired chha. do i need a transit visa for hk. if i need where i can apply transit for hk?

 

Finally found something in writing from Cathay. Please see and save the following link/document regarding HK transit visa waiver for Nepalese when travelling on Cathay Pacific and Dragon Air. Just to be on the safe side make sure to take a copy of it specially if you are flying out of small cities as other airline staff may not know about the rule and would ask you to show HK transit visa.
